Robert Guidry

Robert Guidry has broad experience on a range of complex matters involving commercial litigation, insurance defense, oil and gas disputes, environmental damage, toxic tort litigation, maritime claims, commercial transactions, and contract drafting. He is a business-savvy and accomplished AV-rated legal professional with a deep understanding of corporate counseling, risk management, complex negotiations, and contract dispute resolution.

Mr. Guidry managed large dockets in class actions and mass torts, products and premises liability, and personal injury in multi-district litigation including for claims arising from the blowout of the Macando 252 well. He has success in resolving multi-million-dollar disputes and evaluating regulatory guidelines and business processes to design innovative solutions. He has also been involved in permitting and remediation activities with HSE professionals and energy regulators such as LA Department of Environmental Quality and LA Department of Natural Resources.

Having served as General Counsel for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern (SDVOSB) international trading and logistics company, Mr. Guidry handled all corporate, legal, and accounting issues as well as commercial transactions, permitting, and government certifications. He also negotiated significant transactions between sellers, buyers, and agents to build supply chains.

He received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 2002. While attending Loyola, he was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and was instrumental in establishing the journal.
