Nicole Loeb’s legal expertise is incredibly diverse as she has been involved in high-profile, international law cases including the Elian Gonzalez litigation, and has seen great success in defending contractors and pest control companies against property damage claims.  Ms. Loeb’s multi-faceted skill set has contributed to the resolution of a variety of matters, from the dismissal of complex brain injury claims to the negotiation of large-scale real estate transactions in connection with her representation of financial institutions, corporations and individuals. To compliment her real estate practice, Nicole also serves as a licensed real estate title producer.

Representative cases include 2700 Bohn Motor, LLC v. F.H. Myers Constr. Corp., No. 2021-CA-0671,(La. App. 4 Cir. 4/20/2022, writ denied, 2022-00800 (La. 9/20/2022), 346 So.3d 802, where Nicole and her team secured a big win for contractors on an issue affecting the entire construction industry nationwide.  The Bohn Court held that an AIA subrogation waiver did not violate Louisiana’s anti-indemnification (construction) statute, La. R.S. 9:2780.1 and further, that subcontractors would qualify as third-party beneficiaries thereby resulting in dismissal of a sizeable property damage claim. With respect to complex brain injuries, see Lasseigne v. Taco Bell, 202 F. Supp. 2d 512, where Nicole defeated a multi-million dollar claim involving a choking incident that allegedly resulted in impotency, migraines and PTSD. After having all of plaintiff’s expert testimony on causation excluded under Daubert as unreliable, these claims were dismissed. Ms. Loeb’s insurance defense, construction and pest control practices are devoted to the representation of individual companies, insurance companies, and their insureds against property damage and personal injury claims, as well as prosecuting claims on their behalf.

Ms. Loeb’s maritime practice is devoted to the representation of oil and gas producers, as well as oilfield contractors, defending them against personal injury and property damage claims and prosecuting claims on their behalf for property damage and lost revenues. Her litigation practice is divided between state and federal courts.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Loeb is an active volunteer in the community. She has been recognized for her community service by the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as by New Orleans CityBusiness magazine as a member of the “Power Generation” for her work as director of the Law Through Sports Program in public schools. More recently, Nicole was recognized as an outstanding Female Entrepreneur for 2014 at the Business Excellence Forum & Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nicole graduated cum laude from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and thereafter received her Juris Doctorate from LSU in 1998. Ms. Loeb studied internationally attending the University of Glasgow in Scotland in pursuit of her Philosophy degree, as well as the University of Marseilles in Aix-en-Provence, France, to study international law.
