Open Positions

Position: Senior-Level Attorney (Civil Litigation)

A flexible, innovative, and family-oriented civil litigation firm with manageable billing expectations is looking for full-time litigation senior-level attorneys. Trial or arbitration experience is preferred.

We are looking for team players with the following skill set:

– Ability to Independently Manage Files & Lead a Team
– Willingness to follow Systems & Processes to Promote Efficient File Management
– Proactive Attitude & Approach to Case Handling
– Experience with Case Management and Billing Programs
– Experience with both State and Federal Court
– Experience taking Depositions and Arguing Motions/Appeals
– Excellent Research, Writing & Verbal Communication Skills, including the ability to Negotiate
– Must have at least 8+ years of Litigation Experience
– Attorneys who are Licensed in Louisiana and/or Mississippi are Preferred

Qualifications:
– Must have a Minimum of 3+ years of Experience as a Legal Assistant
– A thorough Understanding of the Defense Litigation Process
– Ability to Interact and Communicate Effectively in a Business Environment
– Ability to Work Under Pressure and Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously and the Ability to Prioritize Tasks Accordingly
– Ability to Accurately Type a Minimum of 70 words per Minute
– Excellent Spelling, Grammar, Proofreading, Transcription, and General Clerical Skills
– Ability to Work as Part of a Team
– Ability to Take Notes and Actively Participate during Weekly Team Meetings as a Valued Member of the Team
– Ability to Coordinate Work Activities and Organize and Maintain Files
– Ability to Set Depositions, and Schedule Meetings and IME’s
– Ability to Leverage Technology Resources to Ensure the Group of Attorneys is Operating as Efficiently and Effectively as Possible
– Must be Very Organized and have Ability to keep Attorneys Organized

– Strong Knowledge of and Ability to Apply Office Software Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe
– Must have the Ability to Maintain the Daily Calendar of each Attorney, including Scheduling, Coordinating, and Confirming Court Dates, Appointments, Meetings, and Travel Arrangements
– Knowledge of Law Firm Billing and Document Management Programs a Plus
