Barbara Bossetta is a seasoned litigator with three decades of experience in both private and government sectors. She holds a diverse trial and appellate practice in matters involving general liability, insurance defense, workers’ compensation, road hazard, civil rights, toxic torts, environmental hazards and medical malpractice. Prior to joining the firm, Barbara served as an in-house Assistant Attorney General and as a Specially Appointed Assistant Attorney General, where she defended the State of Louisiana.
In the private sector, she has represented oil and gas companies and defended them in a host of environmental matters, including Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM), Act 312 Legacy and Coastal Erosion claims. Barbara has also defended insurance companies, manufacturers, premises owners and other industrial companies in personal injury, workers compensation and asbestos related claims.
Barbara earned her Bachelor’s degree in history from Loyola University in New Orleans. She received her J.D., with honors, from the Loyola School of Law in New Orleans in 1990.
Barbara is admitted to practice in the Eastern, Western and Middle District Courts of Louisiana and the United State Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
